Kimberly is excited to be a part of AGAPE of NC as the Executive Director. This calling is a blessing to her spiritually, personally and professionally. It continues to be an honor to serve God and a privilege to be invited into the lives of children and families at a very difficult time.
Kimberly is a Native Texan and was raised in the Church of Christ in a small western town of Big Spring. Kimberly received an undergraduate degree from Southwest Texas State University and a Master’s degree from The University of Texas in Arlington. Since relocating to North Carolina in 1999. Kimberly found her church home at North Raleigh Church of Christ in Raleigh.
Kimberly began her career in the pursuit of serving children and families in 1993 when she began working for Child Protective Services. While serving children and families and working with community providers she decided to continue her education to become a therapist so that she could be a part of journey of healing, growth and peace.
Upon graduating with her master’s degree Kimberly began working for the Federal Bureau of Corrections as behavioral/mental health counselor. From there, she served as Executive Director for a private Hospice agency. After working for a private Mental/Behavioral health hospital, she went on to opening her own private practice agency where she continues to provide mental health treatment to children and families for the past 11 years prior to joining the AGAPE of NC family.
She is the mother of three wonderful children Hillary who is attending UNC Wilmington in her senior year, Zachary a junior and Mallary a sophomore in high school. Kimberly is dedicated to the mission of AGAPE, she believes in the services that foster love and stability in families and is grateful to have God and all of her fellow brothers and sisters to partner with in sharing and spreading Gods love in such a profound way.
